What is a JobFingerprint™?

Each JobFingerprint™ is a unique target-shaped job profile divided into 20 personality, interest and motivation attributes depicting the unique traits of a particular job.

For a specific job, each wedge-shaped attribute has a blue “target” range. This blue range is the desired area for your candidates to score. The dark blue range shows the top 5 attributes which best predict success in your job.

A target range closer to the “bulls-eye” represents strong scores (i.e. 8, 9, 10), while weak scores (i.e. 1, 2, 3) are plotted further from the bulls-eye. Our tool is scaled against the general population, so most people will score in the middle (i.e. 4, 5, 6, 7) of each attribute.

To facilitate an understanding of the 20 Attributes, the JobFingerprint™ organizes them into four natural categories.

Scoring an Individual on the JobFingerprint

Any individual who completes the Careerious survey receives a score between 1 and 10 on each of the 20 attributes depicted on all JobFingerprints™. These scores can be used to plot the individual’s own attributes onto a JobFingerprint™.

The person’s score on an attribute will determine where the person is located in the wedge for that attribute (10 is the highest possible score, 1 is the lowest). Strong scores (i.e. 8, 9, 10) are plotted closer to the “bulls-eye”, while weak scores (i.e. 1, 2, 3) are plotted further from the bulls-eye.
